Think a President has a bit more to keep on his mind than a gyu running for Governor?

Think with ten+ years of tape on anyone we could find and edit tape to say anything we wanted and completely misrepresent that person's views?

You can't argue that Bush has completely lost his edge, he came into his re-election campaign having never lost a debate, and then proceeded to lose two and draw one. He went for a well-spoken, educated politican to a stuttering, self-contradictory new-age Inquisitor.

you used your argument to dicredit a statement against the president's ability as a sophist, so i was arguing the nature of your argument, not an assertion

You said I can't "argue that Bush has completely lost his edge."

I never said that he completely lost anything.

I said - to paraphrase - that with as much footage as must exist on Bush it would be easy to cast him in any light you wish.

I suggested a reason for the less polished delivery may be the change in his position from candidate for a governorship to that of President.

Who is that guy? I forgot how the man actually came to power. He was commanding against Ann Richards and even John McCain. The Bush of today looks like a weak man who knows he is wrong but has to defend his position anyway.
