You know I don't like Bush and generally am pretty negative about it.

You seem to hear alot of grumbling in the past few weeks that the US wasn't doing enough to help the Tsunami relief and that our donation wasn't large enough.

However, something occurred to me the other day that deserves some thought.

Why isn't the international comunity pointing any fingers at the lack of funding coming from the "Richer" Gulf Countries?

I.E. Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Kuwait.

I don't think there is ever a point of criticizing those nations - especially Saudi - because they are mostly rogue states with dismal records of human rights even within their own borders. I did, however, catch a blurb about the Saudi royals forking over some relief aid.

Initially 10 million then upped to 30 million after criticism.

Paltry compared to the rest of the world, especially considering their wealth.
