okay... maybe it is..... but sure as hell isn't elitist. And I am certainly not above being elitist... hell I am elitist on lots of points..... but that wasn't an example of it. Elitist is claiming that the American electorate cannot be trusted to pick the better man. Cannot be trusted to have the "correct" opinion on issues. here's an elitist quote from an elitist of the right, "Populism at its finest is an oxymoron." George F. Will

I wasn't the one claiming poor people paid no taxes, you were. and I was not suggesting cutting their income taxes, that is an assumption you made. but if you really wanted to know where I stand... how about not cutting their taxes and using that money to play your war and your faith based funding I really do not like running up my grandkids debt with that bullshit |

As for the deficit.... I refer people to the ratio of deficit to percentage of GDP... don't get your panties in bunch until that ratio gets substantially higher than it is today. We're not impovrishng your grandkids. (This is not a permission slip to overspend....spending needs to be brought in check..... its a notice that the sky is not falling)

Of course you refer people to the GDP because it is an attempt to take the focus off of the most fiscally irresponsible goverment we have ever had. You guys love to talk personal responsibily, so just fucking take the responsibility to admit you don't give a fuck about over spending as long as it is on the things that benefit you. |

Certainly spending needs to be reined in - no argument. But hyperbolic concern like yours is unnecessary. Quote:
I mentioned in this post and the prior that something needed to be done about spending so climb down a little bit won't you? And.... just out of curiosity... what spending which benefits me that doesn't benefit you are you thinking of?

OK satchel... I tried to engage you in discussion by asking for specifics... you've careened from topic to topic avoiding clarification on anything you've bitched about and you've tossed in insults as well.... you got a lot of complaints about poorly defined issues. I'll try again.... 1) who's my preacher? 2) what's fairy tales is he promoting and 3) how am I benefitting where you are not from that?
