At what point did we lose all common sense?

Is history no longer taught in our schools? How can someone even justify dressing as a Nazi knowing what the uniform symbolizes? Or any of the other costumes for that matter.

And don't give me the "oh its just a bunch of drunken frat boys" excuse or the "lighten up liberal" excuse or the "quit being so PC" excuse.

I wonder if these same people would find it funny if one of their own dressed as a 9/11 victim. Would they see the humor in that? Or maybe a soldier in a body bag?

Guess it's not so funny when you're the target of the "joke".

Well, of course our first amendment rights permit us to say or dress in ways that reveal us to be complete asses. In so far as that is true we can do nothing.

However, a school like VMI quite probably has a quality of character standard (or whatever they call it...) not unlike a "moral turpitude" clause in an employment contract... in so far as these people revealed themselves so lacking in judgment as to what is or is not appropriate for expression they should be chained to the city gate and publicly flogged. Of course I'm joking... however, they should have to stand before a board of review to defend their acts or face disciplinary action.
