I am already booked for July. Join me in volunteering as an English teacher and most anyone can get free airfare, hotel, and some meals through the Englishtown program.

None of my friends seemed interested so I thought i'd post it here where people seem to have a little more sense.

I think that I could somehow find a way to "forget" the Spanish that I know and leave my grammar Nazi ways behind for a trip of this stature. G-d knows that my text shows how my tendency to be verbose, LOL.

I think I will apply just to see what happens. I'll let DDM know the outcome.

When I was in Japan I met some girls from the UK who were doing the same thing. They basically just talked with high school age girls in english and that was it.

yeah the coolest thing is they are pretty liberal with the scheduling of your flights so we got ours with 3-4 days before and after the week of the program, three of those days with a hotel in London taken care of. Afterwards I am thinking of a brief visit to Morocco or perhaps Algeria to hit the ivory beach and practice my French..

but 4real it's a great opportunity, and should look great on anyone's resume. It's not very hard to get in, just a page or two written submitted on the website, and a passport and all that. Also I have the email info for one of the admins so if u have any questions, i might be able to help. They are looking for people just like you... apparetly the clients of the school pay a substantial tuition, like multiple thousands for a week. mostly on corp accounts, i assume.

so if you know me and want to see me out there i'm teaching at the Valdevilla community July 19-26 (approx.). Those of you who haven't traveled, or have obligations here... remember you really only get so many opportunities before you're either married with children or over the hill....
