Harry Belafonte claims Jews were in Hitler's government Posted: August 23, 2005 1:00 a.m. Eastern © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com Atlanta held what was called "a civil rights march" on Aug. 6, which resulted in a considerable number of uncivil wrongs. Singer, actor Harry Belafonte denounced Gen. Colin Powell and his successor, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, as, in his words: "black tyrants." Then this handsome, melodic oaf announced: "There were lots of Jews high up in the hierarchy of (Adolf Hitler's) Third Reich." There were no reports that this absolutely asinine incredibility was disagreed with by any of the other speakers at this strongly racist rally, including TV actor Greg Mathis, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Democratic members of Congress Charles Rangel, Barbara Lee (of Berkeley, Calif.), Maxine Waters of southern California – and even Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco. Belafonte's absolutely astounding claims of Jews in Hitler's government of the Third Reich was strongly refuted by the director of the David Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies, Dr. Rafael Medoff, who asked Belafonte to retract, because: The fact is that there were no Jews in Hitler's hierarchy; the policies of America and Israel are not similar to those of Hitler; and African-American conservatives are not comparable to Nazis. Such analogies pollute public discourse by trivializing the brutal horrors committed by the Nazis. Hitler was a maniacal dictator whose regime systematically annihilated 6 million Jews, and launched a world war that caused the deaths of more than 40 million people. How can any reasonable person put Hitler and the Nazis in the same sentence as American or Israeli leaders, or black conservatives? That is a profound and compelling question that ought to be repeatedly asked of Harry Belafonte – and of all those who accompanied him in that absolutely incredible black power rally in Atlanta. Alleged comedian Dick Gregory referred to what he termed "white racist thugs" and he called the United States "the most dishonest, ungodly, unspiritual nation that ever existed in the history of the planet." (There were no reports that Gregory plans to leave these allegedly terrible United States, as did the late Stokely Carmichael, who moved to Africa.) The Rev. Jesse Peterson of Brotherhood Organized for a New Destiny noted: We have a double standard in this country today where black liberals can do and say whatever they want because whites have allowed themselves to be intimidated by fear of being called racists. Mychal Massie, a radio talk-show host and member of the black conservative group Project 21, agreed with Peterson and added that Gregory's remarks provided "an unambiguous display of overt black racism at a pep rally for hatred." Les Kinsolving hosts a daily talk show for WCBM in Baltimore. His radio commentaries are syndicated nationally. He is White House correspondent for Talk Radio Network and WorldNetDaily. His show can be heard on the Internet at www.wcbm.com 8-10 p.m. Eastern each weekday. Before going into broadcasting, Kinsolving was a newspaper reporter and columnist – twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for his commentary.
__________________ Warm Regards, Trey Brister Nature abhors a vacuum and religion is a powerful civilizing and socializing force. It is not perfect, but at least it does not deny human nature. Most leftest ideology is based upon the idea that evil is the result of social conditions/injustice, and simple misunderstandings. Man's nature is seen as both inherently good and infinitely malleable. It is believed that man can be made into something better through education and other social endeavors. The truth is that human nature is not inherently good and neither is terribly changable. Any system that denies the truth about human nature will be the victim of it. Communism is only one of the more horrific examples of this fundamental truth. I understand why you're a socialist. You want to make the world a better place. What you need to understand is that not everyone can be helped and those who can are best served by providing them with the opportunity to help themselves. |
