![]() | Interview with C Sheehan http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=4822109 This is pure comedy. She probably thought it was going to be a breeze I guess, but even when the guy asked slightly controversial questions, she dodged them by saying "Why are you asking these questions", "Why don't you ask me what our plans are in the future", and "I have two minutes left", trying to get off the phone. The interviewer asked why Casey Sheehan joined the military, and her intelligent answer went something like this: "Because the military recruiters lied to him and tricked him". She was supposed to be on for 30 mins, but she was only on there for less than 6. When he asked if Casey joined after the war started she said she had to go and hung up. Well worth the listen - it's only 6 minutes. |

Here's the truth about Cindy Sheehan - the anti-war Left (and I use that term to refer the Hollywood degenerates and the small minority of bongo hippies) are exploiting this woman, who is obviously in a great deal of pain and who is trying to make sense of this tragedy, in order to push their anti-Bush agenda. The pro-war Right (and I use that term to refer to the vast majority of Republicans, who still have not taken their Bush goggles off to see how badly they've been duped) are exploiting her by trying to pin her irrational and emotional pleas to "pull out of Iraq now" on everyone who is so legitimately opposed to this political disaster. The far-Right, war-horny conservatives are so fearful of losing their power (and I think they're beginning to smell it) and so full of contempt for those who oppose their agenda in any way, they will resort to anything that diverts attention away from the fact that they were 100% wrong. For these people, it's easier to mock a grieving mother than it is to admit fault.

That's the truth how you see it. It's sickening though, that these anti-war bums will literally do anything at the expense of the pain that these troops go through, the loss of limbs, mental anguish, even death. You have anti-war patrons at Walter Reed mocking the very service these troops believe in by having flag draped coffins, posters that say 'Maimed for a Lie' and 'Enlist Here to Die for Halliburton', telling them that their service has been exploited by Halliburton and Bechtel. How do you think they feel, looking out the window of the hospital to see individuals insulting their duty? Well, Cindy is saying the same thing. She has the same motives that these anti-war types at Walter Reed have. She cares more about a book or movie deal then she does about her sons service, in which he re-enlisted after the Iraqi invasion. It's quite pathetic of her. So, for you guys, we conservatives get our rocks off and are anxious to lash out at her because we are hesitant to admit we are wrong. That's such a loaded statement. The whole argument is loaded, politically. Not logically. Instead of looking at it for what it is, her motivations, instead of looking at who is funding her, etc., it's the opposing view, the war mongers who are at fault, because we are too afraid to admit it. Okay, got it.
