The Right has found a new demon. The funny thing about people like her is that she wouldn't get a fraction of the attention she's getting were it not for the fact the she enrages the Right so much. Kinda like how Michael Moore uses the Right to promote his films. It's a bit ironic.

According to The New Orleans Times-Picayune, Bush cut the budget for corp of engineers flood prevention projects in that area, including levee construction in N.O. by 70 million or about 80% despite a 2004 report predicting just this scenario. 1/3 of the LA national guard is deployed to Iraq (and is 2nd nationally in casulties per state guard units) taking with them most of the equipment, amphibious vehicles, bulldozers, trucks,etc..crucial to battle flooding. Bush reneged on his promise of no net wetland loss, siding instead with developers and adding to the problem of the disappearing natural buffer of barrier marshland on the gulf. But of course its far easier to attack the messenger than address the message. Cindy Sheehan may not be articulate, but shes right. If the Bushies could just once admit a mistake instead of attacking whoever points it out, it would make a bipartisan effort towords fixing our many serious national problems a hell of a lot easier.

That it's Bush's fault for the floods in New Orleans, Gulfport and Biloxi. And that the hurricane Katrina happened for not signing the Kyoto treaty.

Actually, I think the environmental left believes this as well. RFK, jr.'s post on Huffington's blog explains their views quite well, in which he states: "Now we are all learning what it's like to reap the whirlwind of fossil fuel dependence which Barbour and his cronies have encouraged." Even the environment minister of Germany joined the chorus. If only we had signed the Kyoto! And if it still would've happened, they would be pressing further for more action - to regulate the flow of petroleum even more so. I think it's funny how such assumptions can lead to mass hysteria.

I just think it's funny that the right have found someone less articulate than Bush! Yea, he sounds great right now with some professional writer putting his little broken thoughts into something worthy or a President. And to you, BFP. You are such a big man making fun of some dim witted lady. Why don't you find someone worth picking on.

I could barely make that out - but I think I got the gist of it. btw- I pick on Ryan, too. She deserves every single piece of mud thrown in her direction. She should've kept her message solid instead of getting deeply personal and political.

I'm not too sure you pick on Ryan. You make debate with him, but I wouldn't say you pick on him. I don't think the woman deserves mud slung at her. We can both agree she is misguided. Will you agree with this? She has more of right to say something about the war than yourself.
