Perfect Terrorist Opportunity

I dont know if I am a pessimist, or if I just see things for the worst they could get. But, if I was a terrrorist cell operating the the US... or especially in NOLA for that fact, then I would think that this would be the perfect time for terrorist activities. I mean, all major attention is going to be diverted, and most law enforcement will be concentrating on set subjects. Think what a terrorist attack with a dirty bomb or such in another large city could do? What if a refuge is actually a terrorist with a small bomb. What havoc could that reak in a tightly packed arena.

Would an attack now break the horses back? I think an attack now would damage the US more now than at any other time. Also, I think any kind of terrorist attack would unseat George W. Bush. I am not pro-bush nor anti-bush. But, I do think he has been doing a decent job at keeping terrorist out, and at working twoards an end in Iraq.

One news radio station pointed out. If this is how we are dealing with a natural disaster now...... where will we be when the dirty bombs start falling??

first off, you should know that the people who order terrorist attacks dont need one in the us right now, they have us pretty much locked where they want us, but when they need us to snap to, there will be one.

right now everything is going as they want.

less freedoms for citizens,more government control, more money for them,etc,etc

What has this Homeland Sec. money been wasted on?

would events progressed like this if it had happened in another city? Could the fact that it is NO be an impotrant issue? I've never been there so I can't make any credible comment on the issue but the city has a reputation for corruption and inefficiency, amongst other things.

I dont think that Homeland security money has been wasted at all. If anything just look at the amount of terrorist attacks in the last 4 years overseas. Many bombs, and other attacks. How many have there been in the US? I am sure that many have been stopped or broken up in various stages that we havent heard about. Point is, that we are still at war with terrorists who want to strike at our homeland, and they have not been able to do so effectively. I think we have done quite well in the war against terrorism.

Oh no doubt. NOPD is next to the mafia in being the most corrupt organization around.

And their political officials aren't far behind.

The standard of living there is horrendous.

well lets take gary indiana for example, another city with loads of corruption and inefficiency, with huge oil,chemical and other plants

to walk up to the huge oil tanks sitting right on the side of 80-94/90 and placing a bomb, you would wipe out hundreds of thousands of people.

how about that series pbs did on our chemical plants around the country.

over 200 plants that if hit would kill easily a million people each.

nothings been done about them either.

like i said, terrorist have not hit us, because the money people have not told them to hit us, they have been hitting other places to show people that they are still out there and we have to be willful in going after them.

but untill they need more government control,money, and /or citizen lockdowns, then we wont be hit.

to imagine in any sense of the word that bush or anyone in our government has kept us safe is funny as hell.

has anyone kept people from comming across our boarders?

how about drugs from comming across our boarders?
