I meant it that politicians regardless of stripe are good men - even when I disagree with them... certainly there are exceptions... but they make the rule... certainly they cause disproportionate damge to their honest colleagues but that doesn't taint the system...

The left, imo, genuinely wishes to do nothing but very good things.... ditto the right. In almost every instance I agree with their (the left's) goals and just as often disagree with how to acheive them... that doesn't make some one I despise... its some one I generally agree with on the major points... its getting to the prize that can be tricky...

But I have to admit, I am little annoyed that Halliburton got the contract....probably even more annoyed now because it was the first thing I thought of when they showed the devastation on TV last week...

I hate Bush, cant stand the current administration, and dislike Halliburton, but there is not another American company that can do the work needed that isnt already going in to do work as well. The only other options would be to hire a French or Russian company to come from overseas to do the work. Halliburton can rot ni hell for all I care but at least they are an American company that will employ americans to get the job done down there, makes more sense than importing the French to do it to me.

BTW: Halliburton has been doing this type of work since the 1950's under every administration and every president including all the democrats so making it pollitical is pretty retarded. They are the most experianced company in the world for dealing with these types of situations weather its cleaning up man made or nature made disasters.
