the new hurricane

with a second hurricane on the way into the gulf, how much do you think the price of oil will go up to now. keep in mind there are major refineries and oil rigs just of the texas coast by houston. not to mention its the busiest port in the us. is there a chance this storm could be worse financially the first given that its now a 4? i believe thats the same strength that hit nola.

$5 a gallon if it holds up as a Cat4 or Cat5 throughout the gulf.

$5 seems a little pricey. i was definatley thinking a $.65 increase. a double in price would really surprise me. the higher oil prices are the happier i am.

2005 is the new 1900.

P.S. The price will raise to 4 and a nickel, I imagine. That is a worst case scenario.

My wife's firm has evacuated their Houston offices already - they aren't fucking around with any unnecessary risks

my mother called while evacuating Houston, the drive from Houston to Dallas (usually 4 hours) is now at 12 hours. This thing needs to head south, or H-town, and Galveston are in trouble, a Cat 5+ storm hitting houston will mean hurricane winds in Dallas. Should be an interesting weekend.
