More WEED News.. Cancer Risks Played Down
Dr Robert Melamede, of the University of Colorado, said that, while chemically the two were similar, tobacco was more carcinogenic.

He said the difference was mainly due to nicotine in tobacco, whereas cannabis may inhibit cancer because of the presence of the chemical THC.

smoke = bad for you period.

i love the way these studies get used like it is an excuse to smoke pot. such crap.

Not really what I ment by posting the article, but rather to serve as balance to all the "crap" we've been feed for years about how it is more carcinogenic than tobacco, and besides, what do you care what peoples "excuses" are for smoking pot? Sounds like you take personal offense to what other people do.

can't remember the name of it but there's a warning on the back of certain brands of potato chips

no, not at all. I have no problem with people smoking pot or legalization or any of that, what the hell do I care.

just a chuckle i have when i hear stuff like this. my favorite is "it's not as bad as drinking." the fact that it is compared to something else that is worse, and for some that is used to justify "well, its better than..." is what makes me loly, that is all.

In all honesty I think the Meth epidemic in this country should be the main thing that the goverment needs to worry about (in the war against drugs that is)

fair enough, I totally agree with you that its stupid to rationalize smoking pot by comparing it to drinking or whatever, and I am under no illusions as to what the consequences my own habits may be. sounds like we're both "keepin it real"
