wanna get married or stay married? vote NO on Prop 2

from Prop 2:

Quote:

Article I (The Bill of Rights), Texas Constitution, would be amended to read as follows:

Sec. 32. (a) MARRIAGE in this state shall consist ONLY OF THE UNION OF ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN.

(b) THIS STATE or a political subdivision of this state MAY NOT create or RECOGNIZE ANY LEGAL STATUS IDENTICAL or similar TO MARRIAGE.
yeah, it's a technicality, but isn't that the point?

great question. The next date is November 8th. Early voting has already started. You can find more information here (if you live in Dallas):

http://www.dalcoelections.org/

They have a list of early voting places available for dallas county, and you can vote at any of the early voting places regardless of where you live.

As a proud supporter of the homosexual agenda, I will vote "no."

Me too. I'm also trying to start up a door to door homosexual rape program in hopes of more people being "done turned gay" so this bill won't be passed.

You know this thing is going to pass by a landslide. This is what people in Texas are really consumed with - moral grandstanding. This is one issue for which the opposition has absolutely no logical ground to stand on - it's based purely on emotion and fear. And yet, like a herd of cattle - dumb cattle - Texans will march off to the polls to say a big fuck you to the gay community so that they can feel like "good Christian folks" or whatever. Thank God I live in the last safehaven for knee-jerk bleeding-heart pinkos and vast left-wing conspirators. We'll probably be the only city in the state to vote against this trash.

I think there was a similar law passed in Missouri (I think it was Missouri).

I also believe that the law was struck down for being overbroad and vague.

I think one of the key issues in Missiouri was that their law would go so far as to prevent a Power of Attorney whihc would of course permit hospital access as well as anything else authorized in the doc.

Its foolish to try to prevent consenting parties from arranging their affairs through contracts, powers of attorney, wills etc etc however they see fit.

I'm sure you are right, and it will give Perry another opportunity for a revival/bill signing.

Yep, it was Missouri. From the frying pan into the fire, I did get myself.

By the way, the KKK just announced they are holding a rally down here in support of the amendment. The supporters are in good company.
