What is the best state to work in??

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Delaware is the best state for workers in the United States, getting high marks for job opportunities, job quality and workplace fairness in a study published on Tuesday.

New Hampshire, Minnesota, Vermont and Iowa also scored high in the Work Environment Index (WEI), developed by researchers at the Political Economy Research Institute at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Louisiana ranked last, while Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, South Carolina and Utah also got poor marks.

The index ranked working environments in terms of average pay, benefits, job opportunities, equal treatment of men and women and ability to unionize.

It is the first index to evaluate worker climate instead of business climate on a state-by-state basis, its authors said.

There is a consistent link between the quality of a state's environment for workers and its economic health, the authors said, and high-ranking states have faster growth and lower poverty rates than those at the bottom of the list.

Figures don't lie, however, liars figure.

This stands out from the other information in that piece. Unions? Equal treatment of men and women? Equalization in the workplace(it depends on what that means) and unionization are leftist goals. Unions are just as corrupt as corporations, but the leftists do not care about the unions. Leftist politicians scream constantly at corporations because the unions are the ones pulling their strings.

And I don't know of another state besides Texas and Florida that has more job opportunities. I'm hedging my bets that this study highlights selected 'categories', while leaving others out in order to acheive a certain outcome.

I may be jumping the gun, and I'm just assuming, but I've read studies just like this that twist figures and leave categories out to acheive a certain result, but I'll read the study sometime today.

It's all a matter on what types of jobs you are looking for.

Am I the only one wondering what the hell this guy is talking about? What the hell does this have to do with the Leftist vs Right wing agenda. I'm sure the Liberal Left Wing Media has sooo much to gain by naming Delaware the #1 Place to work and the Right has sooo much to lose by TX, Louisiana and South Carolina getting poor marks. Stick to the topic please and save the right wing punditry.
