I feel so sorry for the people in Latin America because of all these leftist taking power this year. They have yet again embraced (or been suckered by) an ideology that has brought nothing but more poverty and suffering to their people time and time again. It is called "Pimping the Poor" for votes, and is age old in Latin America. Paint the town park in the colors of their party, promise money from oil, grab their thumb prints for votes (because they cannot read or write) and grab power for their own selfish desires. The middle class will be distroyed, taxed into oblivion, and the poor will remain poor. Ofcourse it doesnt help that many of the so called moderate canidates and leaders are also corrupt, and the leftist leaders use that to thier advantage. Mostly tho, in Morales' own words...he won by simply talking shit about the US. Like in the Arab world, it is very easy for a politician to blame the pain and suffering thier people endure on the US. A very sad and disturbing year in Latin America. Very Backwards. I can't wait to get back down there in January.
