I dunno if this was posted, but here is a list from the US State department on countries that donated money and supplies to Help hurricane Katrina victims...

I think the most moving, is the 100s of millions that came from our Arab friends...




Aid offered by foreign countries and groups to help the U.S. with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, according to the State Department:

_Afghanistan: $100, 000

_Albania: $300, 000 pledged

_Armenia: $200, 000 pledged

_Australia: $7.6 million

_Austria: tarps, camp beds

_Azerbaijan: $500, 000

_Bahamas: $50, 000 pledged

_Bahrain: $5 million pledged

_Bangladesh: $1 million pledged

_Belgium: operations teams, generators, water pumps, nine-member logistical team to work with the Red Cross

_Bosnia/Herzegovina: $6, 414 pledged

_Cambodia: $20, 000 pledged

_Canada: $5 million pledged to the hurricane relief fund headed by former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, two Griffin helicopters, search and rescue teams, Air Canada evacuation flights, supplies, security team, three Canadian forces ships with three Sea King helicopters

_China: $5.1 million, 1, 000 tents, 600 generators, bed sheets

_Cyprus: $50, 000

_Djibouti: $50, 000 pledged

_Equatorial Guinea: $500, 000 pledged

_Eupropean Commission: Civil Protection Cooperative Mechanism activated

_France: 600 tents, supplies

_Gabon: $500, 000 pledged

_Georgia: $50, 000

_Germany: high-speed pumps, supplies

_Greece: two cruise ships

_Hungary: $5, 000

_Iceland: $500, 000 pledged to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund

_International Committee of the Red Cross: Web-based tracking system for displaced people

_India: $5 million; 3, 000 each of personal-hygiene kits, blankets and sheets; 150 tarps

_Iraq: $1 million pledged to the Red Cross via the Red Crescent

_Ireland: $1 million euro (about $1.24 million U.S.)

_Italy: generators, water pumps and purifiers, tents, supplies

_Japan: $200, 000, $844, 000 in supplies and private pledges of more than $1 million

_Kenya: $100, 000

_Kuwait: $100 million plus an additional $400 million in oil products

_Malaysia: $1 million to the Red Cross

_Maldives: $25, 000 to the Red Cross

_Mauritania: $200, 000 from the American Mauritania Business Council to the Red Cross

_Mexico: 45 truckloads of supplies, transport vehicles, two field kitchens, two helicopters

_Mongolia: $50, 000 pledged

_Morocco: $500, 000 pledged

_Nepal: $25, 000 pledged

_Netherlands: Levee inspection team to assist Army Corps of Engineers, water pumps, frigate

_New Zealand: $1.4 million to the Red Cross

_Nigeria: $1 million pledged

_Norway: $1.54 million in cash and supplies

_Oman: $15 million

_Organization of American States: $25, 000, created fund for donations from member states to the International Committee of the Red Cross

_Pakistan: $1 million pledged to the Red Cross, supplies

_Palau: $50, 000 pledged plus $50, 000 donor drive

_Papua New Guinea: $10, 000 to the Red Cross

_Qatar: $100 million pledged

_Republic of Korea: $30 million, supplies

_Russia: air transport, generators, tents, blankets, water, water pumps, supplies

_Sao Tome and Principe: $18, 000 pledged

_Saudi Arabia: $5 million from Aramco, $250, 000 from AGFUND

_Singapore: four helicopters

_Spain: relief supplies

_Sri Lanka: $25, 000 to the Red Cross

_Sweden: telecommunications equipment

_Taiwan: $2 million, supplies

_Thailand: blankets, supplies

_United Arab Emirates: $100 million pledged

_Uganda: $200, 000 pledged

_United Kingdom: relief supplies

_Venezuela: up to $1 million to the Red Cross and state governments

A lot fo that money is just pledged, lets wait a year and see how many follow thru. Somewhere I saw an article that said over 30% of the money pledged by nations to assist after the tusnami was never sent by the countries that promised it.
