Usually when someone posts "an interesting view of X" its either heavily left or right wing. Usually its right wing stuff, but this is far far left Iranian nationalism. I like the part where they think they can stand up to the US in a direct military confrontation.

I don't think I've heard anything ever described as far far left nationalism ever before

Iran upped the ante in its nuclear standoff with countries wanting to refer it to the UN Security Council, warning such action would lead Tehran to immediately forge ahead with developing a full-scale uranium enrichment program.

The message, delivered on Monday by Ali Asghar Soltaniyeh, Iran's senior envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), reflected Tehran's defiance in the face of growing international pressure over its nuclear program. Enrichment can be used in electricity production, but it is also a pathway to making nuclear weapons.

As for the article - beats me - I don't read anything more than a paragraph long - but - I know what you mean with your US leftist point and if the article came from that POV I may actually have to read it just for the hell of it (far be it from me to actually bother commenting on the substance of the thread starters post )

Strategically it was a very interesting read. Interesting to hear what Iran's responses would be to Israel attacking their facilities. Kinda shows where the gotchas are in the thought process of so many who say 'just go blow up their reactors'.
