Jews and 7th Day Adventists. = Saturday I tend to believe this is the true sabbath. As this was the day the God rested after creating the world and the day commanded by God through Moses to observe for rest (Although no mention by moses of attending worship to the exclusion of other days.). Catholics = Sunday Their rationale is that Jesus rose on Sunday so they changed the tradition to observe Sunday for worship although I do not know if they call it the sabbath or not. Note that catholics assert that they compiled the bible so their traditions are almost equivelent to scripture. Most protestant denominations = Also Sunday They claim that scripture is the only basis of faith minimizing the role of tradition in making dogma so I do not know what their basis is for Sunday worship. I certainly think there is no scriptural basis for Sunday worship based on my readings. Anybody else have any thoughts on this subject. PS Sabbath bloody Sabbath wondering what to do. Living just for dying, Dying just for you ohhhhhh. - Black Sabbath

Most leftest ideology is based upon the idea that evil is the result of social conditions/injustice, and simple misunderstandings. Man's nature is seen as both inherently good and infinitely malleable. It is believed that man can be made into something better through education and other social endeavors. The truth is that human nature is not inherently good and neither is terribly changable. Any system that denies the truth about human nature will be the victim of it. Communism is only one of the more horrific examples of this fundamental truth. I understand why you're a socialist. You want to make the world a better place. What you need to understand is that not everyone can be helped and those who can are best served by providing them with the opportunity to help themselves. | |
