NEW YORK, Apr 28, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- A disappointing profit-outlook for

the Nasdaq composite fell 22.37 or 0.95 percent to 2,322.58. The Standard &
Poor's 500 rose 1.11 or 0.08 percent to 1,310.83.

Microsoft's quarterly profits missed estimates and its guidance was down beat.

The benchmark 10-year Treasury rose 1/32 point to lift its yield to 5.069
percent.

The dollar fell to 113.83 yen from 114.12, and the euro rose to $1.2626 from
$1.2434.

Tokyo's Nikkei 225 closed at 16,906.23 after falling 208.31 or 1.22 percent,
while London's FTSE 100 settled at 6,023.10 on a decline of 36.90 or 0.61
percent.
