Bush and the falling gas prices

Is it any wonder to any of you all that gas prices are falling a good amount, and it just happens to coincide with Bush trying to drum up support for his fellow constituites? If Bush loses control of Congress then he won't get shit done in the last two years of his term. That being said, there won't be any way that he can manage to pursue any fleeting thoughts of bullying Iran into submission.

Yes, it was only a matter of time. I don't personally believe it to be the case, but I am sure that there are many out there who do. I am just trying to be a good DDMer and stir the pot.

Hell Bush couldn't get shit done after Katrina, and they can't keep the lights on in Bagdad.....how in the hell could he pull this off, or 9/11 for that matter.

Presidents for the most part are doomed to fail. There's too many opinions to please everyone. Thankfully for Bush almost 40% of the US publis generally has no idea what is going on in the US, let alone the world, on a daily basis. Then there's another 35% of people who are stuck thinking that everything is a conspiracy.

Yep. Demand falls around now because people travel less but it isn't cold enough for people to start cranking up their heaters. It's falling more this year because speculators drove the price up artificially expecting more hurricane problems. But I'm glad to see some people trade simple economic theories for a good conspiracy when it's convenient.

Yeah, not only that, but the opposing party will find a way to be critical of the presidents desisions no matter what they are.

Another good example is:

Bad economy- "It's all bush's fault!"

Good economy- "It's just because of all the progressive reforms of the former president are just starting to take effect."
