This is a serious blow to honest journalism. She was very courageous in exposing the brutality of the Russians amongst the Chechen population and she has done well for the cause.

May she RIP. Scumbag Russian authorities couldn't handle the truth so the only way they silence her is by shooting her.

Try to deny the holocaust in Europe. In Sweden a minister went to jail for preaching that homosexuality was wrong. Try to write something derrogative about Chavez in Venezuela. Try to convert a Muslim in Saudie Arabia. Etc etc etc etc etc.


Makes it no less sad but it does make it so much more bizarre when people in the US talk about the gov't controlling speech or the press.
