How your heart must ache even two days later?!?!?! Finally, after eight years of Corporate America, finally our voice was heard. I still love you. But I am overjoyed. We the People finally have been heard. 2008 will complete this victory. Nah nah nah boo boo. |

Willy - you should read more before you gloat so oh - please note the date of the post too http://www.dallasdancemusic.com/foru...ml#post2545132 to spare you the trouble of actually doing much reading let me give you my brief comment regarding a brief article on the elections Quote:
So willy - what have you to say? so - let me say further - I think the results a good thing for the reasons above but also - I think (maybe hope - but I still believe) that the results will strengthen both parties. This is a good thing. We need two strong and competing voices willing to discuss policy options. We need that because from the above welcomed notion of greater oversight combined with greater debate should come better policy decisions and results. Willy - you should be just a wee bit ashamed of your poor presumption

Seriously, xian you should seriously consider never backing a Republican politician that has the last name of Bush ever again. Thanks to the Three Stooges, (Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfield) your morals, bloodlust, and your partys greed is fixing to die of starvation. I would say call Feed The Children, but its funding was probably cut by the Bush Administration to make room for whats really important: Oil Company profits! Now, don't get me wrong, I do not foresee a Revolution brought about by the Lefts taking back of both Houses, as we all know The Dems are not known for their aggression. I just see an oppurtunity for the low man on the totem pole once again. Not seen since the Glamourous Clinton Days...... We traded Freddy Mercury for Pat Boone, and life has sucked ever since. BIG UPS TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FOR SEEING THROUGH THE NEO CON AGENDA OF MISDIRECTION AND HATE. *cues PAINT THE WHITE HOUSE BLACK*

Like WWII (FDRs policy was very much directed towards getting us into WWII even if the Japanses force the issue), Korea, Viet Nam, Somalia, Kosovo etc etc? All ordered by Dems Willy. Quote:

That group has been largely on the outs for several years now - they were almost entirely non-elected advisors to GW (that and talking heads who weren't advisors at all - just advocates of a policy direction) not Congressmen. Anyway - yes, the election results were in large part a rejection of GWs handling of the war in Iraq and he has bungled it. Don't forget some of the things that Adam mentioned in another thread and don't forget the spending spree that the GOP went on. That issue, the spending, largely purged the fiscal conservatives and the few remaining libertarians. The DNC has a great opportunity to consolidate its base and move policy forward and I hope that they can do it with cooperation from the GOP with an eye toward what's best for the country. Certainly the GOP has let us down and something's got to change. Now, if they try to go on a witch hunt (which I very much doubt they'll do - they'll be no impeachment process that many on the far left have been drooling for for example) and try to get a more radical legislative agenda through the Congress.... you're going to see 2 years of mud slinging back and forth from both parties. let's keep out fingers crossed for the more mature bi-partisan policy direction that many have predicted will result from the elections. The fact that the DNC numerical majority is fairly thin in either house pretty much precludes the Dems from any legislation that'll be associated with the far left - and of course GW would, one suspects, remember that thing called a veto even if such legislation made it through the Congress.... the DNC does not have the votres to override a veto. blah blah blah willy Last edited by St. Stalin the Apathetic; 11-12-06 at 04:25 PM.

Damn Xian.....don't you have anything better to do than to write long love letters to your favorite democrat? One thing though, exactly what resources would you like for him to provide?? No matter, it would be pointless for him to provide you with anything because there is one simple fact that every 3rd grader knows by now, all things that have transpired in the past 4 years after 9/11 would not have/could not have happened unless the three men named earlier made it happened or allowed it to happen. Feel free to type me a 5 page detailed report on how I am wrong.

2) I don't recall asking willy for any resources 3) I think you meant the last 5 years 4) I don't think you meant "all things" - I thin kyou meant all US foreign policy decisions 5) re: those three men. Well, yes, the President, VP and SecDef do havea great deal of control over our foreign policy - that would be their job - happily handing over the capt'n obvious crown to you
