Healthcare is not a "right" it is a privilege. Do you think we would have as many doctors as we do if the job didn't pay well? Where do you think all of these advances in medicine and technology are coming from? Money, and money is not a "right" for people who don't work for it. However, our government still provides billions of dollars to the elderly, disabled, and poor, as they should. Here is the fundamental difference in what we believe: You think the gov't should provide everything for the people. Most people in the US think the gov't should provide the opportunity for those people to go out and get it themselves. Otherwise, your society turns lazy and unproductive. Just look at the incident in France as a great example of this: There were riots in the streets because employers wanted the power to fire an employee if they weren't doing their job. But noooo, all of the young workers want a guarantee that they can sit on their ass and not be fired for two years. How efficient do you think that business is going to be? and why do you think they have so much trouble finding jobs? By the way, if you think Nicaraguans are living better than us, you are smoking crack. "hahaha"

This is the most stupid question yet, and the easiest to answer. Its called "Pimping the Poor". Socialist leaders get elected easily in third world nations because they blow smoke up the asses of the poorest people, lie to them, paint thier damn village park before election day, and drive them to the polls. In many of these latin american nations, you are required to vote, so the poor villagers who have been suckered by the socialist out vote the out numbered middle class who have some education and know better. This is how all my friends in latin america explain it. This shit aint new Mac.

it should be a basic human right to everyone. yes, i think doctors can have one less yacht and get a minimum 100,000.00 a year. one could say sales tax is a means of keeping the rich richer and the poor, poorer. i never said nicaraguans were living better than us, but i do think because of past U.S. involvement they are living worse off. again you failed to answer the question (why did nicaragua re-elect ortega) ...because you do not know what you are talking about Last edited by joe mac; 11-17-06 at 06:15 PM.

give me a break man, after the U.S. and the rich removed him from power in 2002 the masses put him back in power. gee i wonder why obviously you did not do your research earlier, compare chavez to previous presidents...and then come back and tell me that chavez was a worse president than the others, sorry not going to happen. and so capitalist/conservative people in power do not do the same thing? haha yea right and i am not just refering to the oil when it comes to environmental policy

![]() | you tell me.. Is it because any business that becomes financially sucessful is quickly snatched up by the socialist government and/or taxed into oblivion?? Yes, yes it is. Quote:

Chavez exists only because we buy his stinky ass oil. Why do you think south Houston stinks so damn bad? The only refineries in the world that can handle his rotten ass oil are along our gulf coast. Oil consists of 80% of his country's revenue, 80% of his oil exports come right here to our gulf coast. Without us, he is nothing, he will be eaten alive by his own. His retoric will be the death of him, we will eventually go elsewhere for our energy needs.

Ah yes, this is a recurring theme among socialists such as yourself. Blame the good ol' USA when you can't get your shit together! I didn't answer your question because it is irrelevant, why did a bunch of people with no money elect somene who promised them the farm? It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Just look at our standard of living compared to theirs. It is better because we have the opportunity and incentive to do better. You won't listen to logic because you are blinded by your ideology.

![]() | Dude, their growth rate went up because the price of oil went up. Not to mention they reneged on all of their agreements with foreign companies who invested billions in their infrastructure in good faith. Once their oil runs out, your buddy Chavez and the rest of Venezuela is going to be shit outta luck.
