You're a factual kind of guy, chew on these facts: Venezuela continues to be highly dependent on the petroleum sector, accounting for roughly one-third of GDP, around 80% of export earnings, and over half of government operating revenues. Government revenue also has been bolstered by increased tax collection, which has surpassed its 2005 collection goal by almost 50%. Tax revenue is the primary source of non-oil revenue, which accounts for 53% of the 2006 budget. A disastrous two-month national oil strike, from December 2002 to February 2003, temporarily halted economic activity. The economy remained in depression in 2003, declining by 9.2% after an 8.9% fall in 2002. Output recovered strongly in 2004-2005, aided by high oil prices and strong consumption growth. Venezuela continues to be an important source of crude oil for the US market. Both inflation and unemployment remain fundamental problems. https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications...k/geos/ve.html |

regardless who they are and what they do. we are looking at the long run. for example, it is better to rent or to buy? buy of course... in the long run so if you make healthcare a priveledge to those who who were born with the priveledge of having money, then, they have no problems. but those who are poor, working hourly jobs, have a high school education, cannot afford to pay for medical care. healthcare is right, not a priveldge.. this is not a country club.

Not everyone who has money inherited it pal, they worked hard for it. People don't have a "right" to live longer than they were supposed to, that is a ridiculous notion. If all healthcare and medication was free, the system would crumble because there wouldn't be billions of dollars in private investments for research, less doctors because of lower pay, and we would make no more significant advances in medicine, especially not compared to the leaps and bounds we are making now. I can see there is no point in discussing this further because of the fundamental belief that you think people should be given everything and I think they should earn it.

Most immigrants only use cash, and they buy lots of retail goods, so when they pay sales tax, they pay tax. Maybe not federal taxes, but believe me, they pay taxes. I can't even believe this is still an issue.

healthcare, is a basic human right. it is not a priviledge that only the rich can afford because they "earned it".

another misconception, many migrants have checking accounts and use debit/credit cards. they also pay federal taxes with fake social security cards.

Oh... wait a minute - you mean health care paid for by the state - - in other words.... at tax payer expense. There is no right to healthcare. You want free health care - go to an ER at a public hospital and give a fake name... or go to Venezuela aor Cuba for the fine medical treatment offered free of charge in either of those places. no - it is not a right - you wish it to be an entitlement - which is pretty much already is

Xian's the head chef at the Truth Cafe. Watch the internet foil gibberish around him or else you'll get served.
