The private sector has grown by 10%? Care to define what the private sector you refer to is? Care to refer to what growth means? Care to cite the base line against which growth is measured? Care to cite whose statistics you rely upon (are they Hugo's and 2 irish's stats?)
dude, give me a break
look it up online, common sense
"venezuelan economy and private sector growth"
google it, don't be an douch

irish film makers that were there when the u.s. led the coup de' tat with the rich, white, elite venezuelan minority against chavez

all you have to do is google:
"the revolution will not be televised"

p.s. have you ever visited venezuela?

I've never visitid Venezuela. So what.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Venezuela

there is some growth in the economy but also in poverty

Quote:
There is considerable income inequality. According to official sources, the percentage of poor and extremely poor among the Venezuelan population increased from 39.4% in 1995 to 48.1% in 2002. This increase has been due primarily to lower real wages earned by employees and increased unemployment. It has also been argued that because of recent census efforts many more poor and extremely poor people are now being included in economic analyses.
growth of the economy appears to be tied to the price of oil - which as we are all aware shot through the roof for the period you're talking about

https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications...k/geos/ve.html

Quote:
Venezuela continues to be highly dependent on the petroleum sector, accounting for roughly one-third of GDP, around 80% of export earnings, and over half of government operating revenues. Government revenue also has been bolstered by increased tax collection, which has surpassed its 2005 collection goal by almost 50%. Tax revenue is the primary source of non-oil revenue, which accounts for 53% of the 2006 budget. A disastrous two-month national oil strike, from December 2002 to February 2003, temporarily halted economic activity. The economy remained in depression in 2003, declining by 9.2% after an 8.9% fall in 2002. Output recovered strongly in 2004-2005, aided by high oil prices and strong consumption growth. Venezuela continues to be an important source of crude oil for the US market. Both inflation and unemployment remain fundamental problems.
so the growth you speak of was enough to offset one off those declining years and climb back slightly from another....

A Turkish prison is as easily identifiably a bad place to visit as Venezuele - even if we can agree that one would be worse.

WTF does American passport ownership have to do with the price of tea in China anyway?

I betcha that Venezuelan and Chinese passport ownership is even lower.

i just checked with God and he said it doesn't have anything to do with the price of tea in china but that it had some correlation to the price of garbanzo beans in India.

just FYI.
