Chavez is quite specuifically criticized by international human rights organizations for his cracking down on freedom of expression and on the lawyers who have represented those "criminals" who've spoken out harshly against Chavez.

The guardsmen in the truck continued to hit me on the neck and body with their nightsticks, helmets, and even traffic cones. They made us all kneel in a corner looking at the ground and they hit anyone who moved with their helmets or sticks. Then they gave me electric shocks on the neck and arms from some equipment I couldn’t see because it was above my head.

Later in the barracks, they maltreated them physically and mentally, making them sing pro-Chavez slogans and hitting anyone who didn’t sing loudly enough. The father said that, according to his son, the guardsmen sprinkled them with powder, apparently from tear gas canisters, which irritates the skin. Burgos reported that the guards stopped beating him when they learned he was a priest. Before releasing him, however, they made him sign a form stating that he had not been mistreated...........

I've never been to the sun but I can be reasonably certain that it is fucking hot there. Venezuela is even closer and real people exist there who can actually talk and write. That being the case people who've never been there can have expereinces in Venezuela described to them by those who have been there.

As for the media - yeah right - that's why Chavez is routinely criticized for his cracking down on freedom of expression (press, speach, association) and the lawyers who defend those people who dare to speak their minds

Members of Chavez's own military organized that coup. They came here and asked for our help, and we refused, but stood by and watched it happen, because we obviously would rather deal with a rational leader in Ven than one who has so blatantly abused power. Your accusations that the CIA had involvment in the 2002 coup is a conspiracy theory at best. Even if we did give our wink and a nod to the coup attempt, thats a far cry from a military invasion. Chavez is harboring Columbian Guerilla's, Muslim Extremist Terrorist and training camps (Margarita Island), made visits to Saddam, Iran, Gaddafi in Lybia, has befriended every single foe of the US, and is a card carrying socialist/communist. We have every damn right and reason to keep a close eye on him. If NK, or anyone else arms him with nukes or long range missles, you can bet your ass we will take care of him.

First of all it aint your military.Second, we'll disarm when we dont feel threatened anymore.Third, we are having dialog with the N.Koreans right now as we speak without any soldiers being deployed.Fourth, I dont know where you get the info you do but its seriously flawed as well as your thinking.
