| 4 step hacking guide for the touchsceen voting machines Dallas uses
Simple easy to follow directions. You can get the spreadsheets to put on your flash drive to elect whoever you like with a quick google search. http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne...4916629&size=l |

Who gets to vote in enough privacy that you could pull the bottom off the machine without anyone noticing? I agree it's ridiculous that this could be done in 4 steps, but I know I could never pull that off at any polling location I've ever been to.

you think you would have enough time to pull it off if you volunteered to work the polling place? maybe had a couple of your friends volunteer with you to back you up? or maybe it's just you and then you have your friends come to vote and you pull it off together? point is, if there's a will... you can find the way.

I don't doubt that it's possible, I just doubt how likely it is that this could be used on a large scale. I don't know how they assign the volunteers at voting places, so I don't know if you could stay grouped with a couple buddies or not.

doesn't need to happen on a grand scale... it just has to happen in key places. the point is, it CAN happen and if someone wants to do it they will find a way to make it happen. no one thought it would be easy to hijack some planes and fly them into the WTC and yet some backward ass fucks from the Middle East found a way... you don't think some of the brilliant minds of America could find a way to hack some machines to get someone voted into office?

OK for the 3rd time, I'm not saying it _CAN'T_ happen. I'm saying it isn't likely.

Ok everyone... Jonny says it's not likely so let's all just forget about voting fraud altogether... it's not likely to happen so no reason to waste our time even thinking about it. Thanks Jonny, brilliant plan!

Yes that's what I said, let's all forget about it. That's exactly what I said. Good call Joel.

LOL, sure all you have to do is disassemble the entire fuckin thing in the middle of the voting area. That's sure not to arouse any suspicions from the voting officials. I'm surprised re-flashing the machines isn't easier.

Just because an event isn't "likely" to happen does not give the machines/ people we trust with something as precious as a vote, such painfully obvious "loopholes" if you will that are just asking to be tampered with. ONe would think after all the last hulabaloo with the 2000 election people would try and be more circumspect, after all this isnt just some PTA election.(not to be little what local PTA'S do)

I dont know about your voting district, but up here they put you in a curtain booth by yourself with the machine. I could pop that top off and stick my flash drive in the machine just as fast as I could actually vote, so I dont think its nearly as hard as your makig it out to be. Would it really take you more than 5 minutes to use a screwdriver and pop in a flash drive? | |
