I think the bigger issue is that Mr "straight talk express" and "I dont work for lobbyists" candidate has now been called out for bending over backwards to push through legislation and bills for any lobbyist that happens to flutter her eye lashes at him.

Amazing how he was so opposed to Cruise ship deregulation until he spent a weekend with her and by the following Monday he was tromping all over capitol hill trying to deregulate them. Its also something how she managed to get him to co-sign telecom legislation he was so publicly opposed to after taking a private flight on Rupert Murdochs personal plane with her.

which illustates the usefulness of pieces like the NYT article... doesn't much matter what they write when they leave it to the reader to fill in the blanks with whatever they wish...

Sure if you listen to the smoke screen that the GOP is throwing up. Notice that they are completely ignoring the fact that the Washington Post ran an article the same day about the same woman centered entirely on influence with absolutely no mention of an affair.

This is a big story that is being cloaked as a sex scandal to get people to overlook the fact that Mr Straight talk express is a greedy political whore that will sell out the American people just like the rest of the candidates.
