I thought this was an interesting article on the Spitzer case. When I first saw it on the news I *knew* he must have pissed off the wrong people....obviously he did.

Oh sweet, I was wondering when Blame Game: Mortgage Edition was gonna come out. Everyone who got more house than they couldn't (and probably knew they couldn't) afford were just the victims of big bad nasty mortgage companies. The same mortgage companies that were gonna get caught holding the bag (as the bailout wasn't even close to a forgone conclusion when the loans were written up)?

I don't like the bail out anymore than someone else, but to suggest it's some great conspiracy is a little overdoing it. Bubbles happen, this one happened to not just affect someone's portfolio and some crappy .com when it burst. How was the federal government gonna stop the states from enforcing their own laws? And what exactly brought Spitzer down? Was it a prosecutor going after him or all the bad publicity he got from the whole ordeal? I'm pretty sure that he resigned on his own accord before any charges were brought against him. If charges ever were brought against him. This guy seems like journalistic fail.
