I found this very interesting. Bush is now being compared to Nixon:

don't confuse a populrity opinion poll with "best worst" rankings.

Popularity is judged by the cats polled and best/worst by historians, hopefully with cold detached analysis rather than passionate and self-interested perspective that the public relies on.

Yeah, I'm thinking that's a longshot. So far the dems have shown zero balls when it comes to this stuff, which is why congress's approval rating is even lower than Bush's.

Actually Congress almost always has an approval rating lower than the president, regardless of president.
