Rebate Checks going out Early

For those that got their taxes in by April 15th you can expect your rebate checks to come earlier than expected.

LOL, smartass, I searched and didn't see anything about them going out EARLY.

Yes there are threads about the rebate checks, but not about them going out early.

And considering the article came out TODAY, I'd say this is news.

As in, different than what was originally posted?

If you bothered to read the article, ALL Direct Deposits should be done by May 2nd, instead of the original timetable of
Last two SSN digits: Payment will be transmitted:
00 through 20>>> May 2
21 through 75>>> May 9
76 through 99>>> May 16

And Paper Checks will be mailed out a week earlier, starting May 9th(Instead of starting May 16th). As stated in the article, a new timetable isn't available, but a logical person might assume if you take the orignal days and subtract a week, that's when they're being sent out.

anyone notice that gas is at an all time high right now, just as the rebate checks are going out. I'm pretty sure the bush family is invested in oil. This would be a pretty sneaky way of funneling government money to his own pocket. It will be pretty obvious if the gas prices come down at the end of summer.

I can't wait for my check, I have already been window shopping.

Talk about a foil hat theory. Even if they do have money invested in oil, which wouldn't surprise me, so do thousands of others so he wouldn't be the only one reaping the benefits. As for it being "pretty obvious if the gas prices come down at the end of summer" they always go down at the end of summer. Summer = more people driving for vacations = higher demand = higher prices.

Yeah gas prices usually do come out at the end of summer. Yes, there are more people in the oil business than just the bush family. I do think I stated that the price of things would go up when they first announced the rebate checks. Low and behold gas and food prices are on the rise. Everyone wants a peice.

You know what this is whole economic situation is? Every adminstration has left traps for the new adminstration to walk into when they take office. This is bush's trap for when he leaves. Once all this rebate check money evaporates and there still is not business or job growth and the price of gas and food is still high... look out cause that spells trouble.

I've been posting the info about WHEN it has been expected, which was mid to late May for everyone. What I posted in the above linked thread is the official release of info which was earlier than what I have been sharing. (That and the IRS made the announcement on their website almost a week prior to Krispy's source, so simmer down pup.. )

Ahh well, I didn't feel like bringing up one of the many threads on the subject. The message probably would have been skimmed over and ignored anyway, so I decided to make a new one. So technically it wasn't a repeat thread, it was an update thread on a repeated subject.

I didn't check the IRS website, just saw the article on msn, and no mention of it on DDM, which, of course, is my main source for world news.
