Yes it is very fucked up, and the employee definitely should have handled that differently.

As screwed as it may seem, the employee could very well have been saying that just to get the donation(though it is wrong to agree to those statements). If Planned Parenthood actually has donation "buckets", or being able to designate a donation for specific races, then that is racist. I'm willing to bet it goes into a general account for all costs, be it abortions/utilities/etc..

Also it's not like they're actively going out and finding african american people to offer free abortions to. If someone wants to have an abortion they're going to have it either way, who pays for it in the end is irrelevant.

Would this be any worse if an african american had made a donation and said they wanted it to go to other african americans because they wanted to help the costs of their own people?

In seriousness, I think some of that is taken out of context. Although, some people are rasist and have jobs. You might run into them where they work. I wouldn't say that all of planned parenthood is racist because of one person. That would just be stereotyping.

i definately understand that it was most likely just people saying things to get money... and doubt that there is a "kill the black babies fund" within the organization.
it speaks to the morality of the organization, and the people who "choose" to work there and represent it
