When my insurance company and my wife's OBGYN are going to get their shit straight and process the claims for her pregnancy properly so I can get these fucking bills taken care of.

I think the regulations on a lot of my medicines are bullshit too. I shouldn't have to take a 1/2 day off work, pay the copay, just to tell my doctor "I need more advair" and have him write the prescription.

shit pisses me off. having bad asthma and allergies, I'm constantly at the docs telling what medicine I need.

at least the rules are protecting me from myself though. that's good.

Stay away from that Advair man, I've heard bad things about it. It actually made my asthma worse when I tried it.

picked a great place to have asthma...

med checks are done so docs can monitor the patient... can you get a 90 script with 3 refils for mail order? That's what I do with my methadone.... never mind that I run out in about 2 weeks... but that's why god invented smack huh?

I don't have to go in every month to get refills. Lots of times I can just call, but sometimes I'm forced to go in. If I never saw my doc but once a year, yeah, I could understand that, but I'm at the docs at least once every 6 weeks for various stuff.

Very very rarely do I have the doc ever tell me something I don't already know. Sometimes.... but rarely.

You know, a HS grad could do 75% of what I do. That other 25% that they couldn't would cost our client millions when they fucked it up. Your health is probably worth more than that

man, I have a LOT of respect for my doc. he's a dick, but I respect him.
he's like a shorter, more jewy version of Dr. House, but there are times I'm forced to go when I don't think I should have to.

I'm not getting all into my medical history on a rave board, but... if my allergies are bugging me, and I want some more allergra-d, I have to take off work (which cost me money), pay the copay (which cost me and my insurance company money) see the doc for him to write a prescription (which uses up his time as well when it could be used to deal with more severe issues and allow him to give more time to those issues).
all for something like allergy medicine.
now granted, there are over the counter things that are about as good, I just picked allergies as the example. there are many others that could be used.

universal healthcare isn't the first change that could be made. things like that should be tested first.

free up the docs time/energy, free up the insurance's money and use those resources for more serious issues.

I hear you. None of the pills work for me. I wait until it get intolerable and go in for steroid shots.
