Clearly you are, the GOP has been full of shit on Energy for 30+ years:

July 22, 2000 Bush went on record blaming Clinton for $2.36 a gallon gas. He declared that if Al Gore was elected as president we would see $4 gallon gas, and said that if he was elected he would use his connections in the oil industry to see prices lowered.

RNC Delivers Tire Gauges to Obama Press Corps
by Bonney Kapp
When the Obama press corps arrived at the Elkhart, Indiana, Jameson Inn where the campaign is staying tonight, Obama staffers were on hand to distribute room keys - and a small white envelope from the RNC.

That’s right, the Republican National Committee.

Inside the envelope addressed to individual members of Obama’s regular traveling press, was a small tire gauge labeled “Obama’s Energy Plan” along the side, and a note that joyously read, “Happy Birthday, Barack Obama!”

The RNC along with the McCain campaign seized upon Obama’s advice to a voter last week to properly inflate her tires to increase fuel efficiency, and have managed to create a sideshow to mock Obama’s “judgment” and “experience” when it comes to energy policy.

Today Obama helped continue the story line when he accused the Republicans of being “ignorant” on the issue. At his Ohio town hall this afternoon, Obama said, “They think it is funny that they are making fun of something that is actually true. They need to do their homework because this is serious business.”

The RNC doubled down on their humorous assault tonight with its “gift” to the press corps. “We hope you’ll enjoy this complimentary tool related to Barack Obama’s energy plan - your very own tire gauge. Because, instead of actually increasing America’s domestic oil supply, this is how Obama thinks you should try to alleviate your pain at the pump,” the note read.

There's been no coherent energy policy from either side in decades - other than the left's drive to restrict where we can drill, whether we can build refineries and nuclear plants.... they've been very clear on their opposition to that. The GOP, for their part suck ass for being pussies and doing nothing about it.

Wether they are full of shit or whatever was not the question. I was refering to his "energy policy" statement being something new. And Gas was $2.36 a gallon in 2000?????? Where....in Samoa or Hawaii? I surely dont recall paying that much at all in 2000.

Because Congressmen are not geologists who know where the best places to drill are? Restricting drilling locations restricts what can be supplied - there's no getting around that.

Who cares? If it helps get oil to market I don't give a shit who gets the leases.

there's been no monopoly on this dipshit thing... I'm constantly amazed at how dumb they both look. I'm just harping on the tire thing in this thread... because it was a dipshit thing to say.

dipshit thing to say to be sure

they're both right on conservation I want to keep beating that drum.... they're both wrong thinking it an exclusive or total solution... that's dipshit thinking

shipping is not drilling Kevin - a drunken captain is not an off shore drilling industry

we don't have analogous disasters from drilling that I am aware of so you're raising a concern that isn't back by previous events. Its reasonable to want environmental regs - I agree - but the ones we have seem to be working. Oil companies don't want to spill oil... they want to sell it so its in their interests to efficiently and cleanly remove it.

And this aint coming from any Republican here bro.
Lets talk about McCains connections to radical Muslim terrorist groups. Not just some flimsy bullshit on his relations chiefs, but his actual senior advisers and personal activities.

Charlie Black McCains senior adviser works for President Ferdinand Marcos from the Phillapines. He was paid 1 million dollars for his work in 2007. This radical Muslum terrorist was convicted in 1992 for for human rights violations, tortures, disappearances and summary executions.

He has also worked for several African muslim dictators such as Somalia’s Mohamed Siad Barre who slaughtered 40,000 - 50,000 people in his country for being Christians.

He also lobbied for “Mobuto Sese Seko" of Zaire who paid him a million dollars a year to improve his image with US elected officials. This guy has only been responsable for starving 10,000 children to death because he wanted to block hospital access to non muslims.

One of his success stories that he often bragged to clients about was lobbying and reworking the image of Jonas Savimbi, a murderous, demented Angolan rebel leader backed by the Apartheid regime in South Africa. Savimbi visited Washington on numerous occasions, where the lobby shop had him ferried about by limousine to meetings with top political leaders, conservative groups, and TV networks. Blackchecked repeated threats by members of Congress to cut off aid to Savimbi’s rebel group, which was burning and raping its way through Angola with the help of American taxpayers.” [Harper’s Magazine, 7/1/07] Charlie black was also paid $600,000 by Savimbi to arrange a meeting with Bob Dole that resulted in him receiving weapons and support from the US state department in 1986. This was the same class act made famous for beating his rivals entire family to death with his own bare hands.

Equatorial Guinea hired Black to lobby for them to cover up human rights abuses so that they could sell oil found in 2002 to the US. Charlie Black arranged meetings with Bush officials for them and now they are a top oil exporter to the US as a result of his work.

He sometimes works for the dictator of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida who has paid Charlie Black over 3 million dollars.

Now thats just McCains top #1 guy. I have a list thats 30 pages long of other top McCain advisors and all of the Muslim dictators and terrorits that they work for.

LOL Just cant help it when morons try to make a side handed Obama Muslim connection all while ignoring the fact that McCain's top people are swimming in bloody money out in public the whole time. This shits a matter of public record that anyone can see, its not some back room conspiracy bullshit like the chain mail going around about Obama.

Why do we have to call it silly? That's just ignorant and lazy. It's not a silly idea. How dare he suggest something that the American people could do today to help. We should just sit back and pass some bill and wait 22 years for it to all work out. Sorry I don't follow your logic. I know you don't like the guy, but stop acting like it's stupid. It's making you look more shallow than usual.

I don't see the GOP blocking renewable energy... where did you get that idea? (not telling you you're wrong - telling you I haven't heard anything like this)

You need to learn to read better before being critical and calling names.

What I said, and I have repeated this so ofen that most people must be pulling their hair out rereading it. Conservation is a must - we have to find ways to do it and practive that conservation. However, to regard that as a total solution to our energy problems is silly.

You didn't follow my logic because you didn't read what I wrote in my posts. You pulled one snippet out of a conversation - that's an example of poor analytical reasoning and poor critical reading. Then of course you toss in the ad hominem to further bolster your argument and wow - what a refutation on my comments and illustration of my ignorance.

I believe McCain wants to greatly expand on nuclear energy. It's one of the few things of his I completely agree with.

Ok so he's a piece of shit as well. But the question was not about McCant. It was for Obuma and his affiliations. Since you have this information of 30 pages on McCant surely you could produce the same for Obuma. Cant you?
I just wanted to touch on the real subjects that Obuma or his supporters should be answering for the rest of us idiots who want some answeres from this guy.

That same line. You are ignorant if you think that Obama was advocating tire pressure as total solution to the energy problem.
