Its not that we dont see what you are refering to. Its just that we dont see it as relevant for McCant. In other words, who gives a shit.

Apperently the GOP cares since painting Obama as elletist has been the cornerstone of the McCain campaign thus far. No one said jack shit about McCain and his wealth for months while he was running anti-Obama the elletist ads.....up untill the dems finally pointed out that McCain owns bathrooms larger than Obamas house. Now all the sudden they are saying "who cares."

Well if it doesnt matter then the GOP needs to shut the fuck up about it already.

Problem is that the DNC is talking about money and the GOP is talking about an aloof attitude, opinion and posture not income. Its been a common theme because Obama polls very well amongst the east coast type liberal academic elite. That's what the GOP's been talking about.... hell Hillary was banging that drum and her handlers were arguing that specific point during the primaries.

You gots apples to oranges here I tells ya.

So we are back to the "Is Obama black enough to be president" question again. Way to keep it classy GOP.

huh? Who the hell said that? Further how do you equate calling him an elitist with "is he black enough"?

Like I said, Hillary and her people brought up the elitist point to attack Obama. They brought it up because it is factually true. Obama polls well amongst elites.

You said that the GOP brought up the issue - they didn't - Hillary did. Way to go DNC.

This attack on McCain is damage control after Saddleback.

The McCain army, just about every commentary show on Fox news has brough it up at least once. His own campaign has been called out for race baiting for awhile now. I cant seem to find it at the moment but I recall a New York Times article not to long ago called "The Low Road Express" that listed point by point everytime McCain has released a misleading propoganda about Obama that tiptoes around the race issue. They seem to switch between saying he is to black to be president and now have started to roll out is he black enough to run for president.

Its a sad commentary on the state of America when a man is labeled as elletist because he stands up straight, and speaks clear understandable english. Even more so when those accusations originate with a man who has had his entire life handed to him on a silver platter.

He's being labeled elitist because he's an elitist. Think of the comparison to Hillary drinking a beer and a shot with the boys at the bar. Not that she isn't an elitist - she's just a fantastic chameleon. See Obama doing that or having cocktails at a University lounge? Lastly, his elitism shows up in one of his best polling groups - intellectual elite academic types.

On not being black enough - Obama did that. He grew in a white family. Think he didn't join the church he joined to establish his "black" bona fides? I agree that it sucks that anyone considers race any issue at all but you must start with Obama who chose a black identity church before starting his political career.

He is, in a way, kinda damned from both sides - or blessed from both - take your pick. I think blessed. The white elites don't care if he's not black enough or too black and large numbers of black voters don't either. Frankly, and I have nothing other than my guess to back this up, I'd be willing to bet good money he picks up 3 votes for every one he loses that is based on his race and those will be a small portion of his votes.

McCain's life has been handed to him on a silver platter? I think I'd pass on that platter. Do recall where Obama went to school... Columbia University and Harvard Law - President of Law Review. That's pretty fucking elite. We've had this exchange before. McCain on the other hand had an Admiral grandfather on the USS Missouri when Japan surrendered and an Admiral for a father... that's prety close to American royalty. Neither of these people have lead lives like you or me.

You're a fucking lawyer xian, not a blue collar beer plant worker...I'll go ahead and say you're an elitist, especially with your talk of longing to be King.

Omg, we might actually vote an intellectual into office. Why is being an elitist such a bad thing. We've had 8 years of an intellectually bankrupt president and it really didn't work so well. So I really don't give a shit that you are concerned he polls well with elites that actually have the mental capacity to read and write properly unlike the current president.

Dude... capt'n obvious.... hell yes I'm an elitist. But I'm an elitist who belives in originalism and federalism more. Which means I'm willing to accept the results those principles yield even when I don't think the results are best.... but I reserve the right to piss and moan.

And... actually... emperor mang.

No, it isn't necessarily a bad thing. You've read too much into my comments. I don't, didn't and won't criticize him for being an elitist I criticize him for being wrong and ill prepared. FTR - 've never denied and usually pointed out in these conversations that McCain cannot deny that he's an elitist as well. Just in different form. He's a social elite - family birthright kinda guy. Obama's an academinc elite. Both can bug me but only when I disagree with them

I think this election is really going to come down to who America wants answering the phone at the White House in the middle of the night.
