On August 23 2008, Barack Obama moved further toward the middle in his selection of Joe Biden by picking a longtime senator meant to prop up the relative newcomer on experience, experts said Saturday! Say NO TO BIDEN AND BARACK ! BIDEN SAID NO TO THE RAVE!

On Apr 16, 2003 the House and Senate almost unanimously passed the National AMBER Alert Network Act of 2003, a popular bill that will soon create a nationwide kidnapping alert system. Coming in the wake of a year of high-profile child abductions -- from Elizabeth Smart (whose parents supported the bill) to Samantha Runnion -- the bill was a no-brainer, destined to pass quickly and smoothly through Congress.

Now, club owners and partyers alike are being subjected to a loosely worded and heavy-handed law that authorities will be able to indiscriminately use to shut down music events at any time they please, assuming they find evidence of drug use. Thanks to Biden's surreptitious efforts, a few glow sticks and a customer or two on Ecstasy could be all it takes to throw a party promoter in jail for 20 years.

Rarely do I discuss two things: Religion and Politics.....but I do cruise through, and read just about everything in this forum. I think this is a case of the lesser of two evils. Yeah, the RAVE act sounds scary and all, but I've never seen it enforced. Generally, if the cops want to find a reason to shut a party down they can do it on noise, fire code, or some other piece of easily enforceable law.

Really though, if the police have to shut a party down it's the promoter's fault, not the cops. 9 times out of 10 the promoter is trying to do something stupid and illegal, and they totally have it coming.

But getting back to the lecture at hand... Biden may have pushed through this one piece of shitty legislation in his 30+ years in the senate, but that's no reason to not vote for Barack. Compared to the damage another 4 years of Bush in the White House, your right to party seems pretty trivial.
