The war is already winding down. I dont see how he can even take any credit for that at all. He wasnt involved in the war one bit as a politician.

It's valid for him to point out that what they're doing now is what he wanted them to do back when it wasn't the politically expedient answer. I didn't take that he was taking credit insofar as he wasn't saying it was his idea, but given that McCain was ardently opposed to timetables it's a valid point that the concept he espoused is the one that came to pass.

Pretty fiery speaker. I enjoyed watching it. Apart from all the partisan jabbing, the statement that stood out to me was his claim to be off mid east oil within ten years.
