it was crazy to see these guys fight with their own ideals and morals for this thing

one guy proposed waiting another week to reshape the bill - why is this not an option? I, too, fear handing this money over to bush

why? the bill says 250bil are for immediate use and 100bil are at bush's discretion with the other 350bil at congress' discretion

from what I heard on the debate - the bill has a lot of holes and, zOMG SORREH FOR MI CAUTION WITH SUCH A TERRIBLE ADMINISTRATION, I just don't know if they [the administration] can be trusted with half of this money up front like that

I migrated from a country where this very same thing happened and the administration that had the money handed to them walked away with it all

This isn't a one shot deal and most of us know that. There will be some SERIOUS hurt until that happens, but nothing that I didn't expect to happen in the first place. Fill up now, stop eating out (LOL), and spend with discretion is all I can say to my fellow Americans right now.

The chances of something getting ratified that pleases BOTH government AND the American populace is slim to none. Let's see what magic medium can be provided.

this isn't strictly a partisan issue... the GOP has large segments that oppose the Bill - you're on their side of this matias so if anyone's siding with the Republicans here it is you. Further supporting David's editorial regarding your credibility.

im not on a high horse. what im against is a further deterioration of our market as we know it.

the public is going to have to swallow this at some point or we might face a severe depression.
