Bush admin orders FDA to stop testing food for pesticides and poisons

Apparently the 8 million a year they spend on testing fruits and veggies for dangerous levels of pesticides and poisons is to much to spend......despite the fact that the program has been in operation for over 30 years and has removed several tons of poisoned foods from the food chain before they ended up on our dinner tables.

This is another reason to switch to organic foods, support your local farmers, and to learn how to grow your own vegetables and fruits. The fact that they no longer care should really raise some red flags for people, and if it doesn't then I am sorry that they aren't more aware.

I know where my food comes from, the store. wacka wacka wacka. I know my grapes come from chili, cause I don't buy the damn mexican grapes. Well sometimes I do. What does it matter where they come from? Do you actually go to the farm your food was grown or raised on? Do you tell the farmer,"give me a tour or I wont buy your product." You are being scammed. Its like selling shoes, gold chains, and grape flavored mentholated pencils.

It doesn't matter where your food comes from because I would estimate a good half of the toxic and contaminated shit comes from the trucks. So it doesnt matter if its organic or not because they ship it all on trucks. And we all know trucks are not organic. Wouldn't really matter if they were.

I use to think this statement was funny since everyone seems to say it but I hear it so often now it has lost it's humorous luster to me. Just fill in the blank, instead of pesticides, it's cancer, diseases, etc. etc.

The interesting thing about this statement is that if your doctor told you that you were going to die, the likely hood that you'd spend your last dime in attempt to save your own life is high. I think it's in human nature to fight for your own life to stay alive. I hope that you or anyone else wouldn't just lay in the hospital bed and say, fuck it.... don't attempt to save me I have nothing to live for...no matter what age you are.
