The Obama campaign has launched http://www.keatingeconomics.com/, a website that exposes McCain’s involvement in the Keating Five scandal. The Obama camp is pushing with it’s message that the McCain ticket is bad for the economy. When the savings and loan industry collapsed, Charles Keating’s failed company put taxpayers on the hook for $3.4 billion and more than 20,000 Americans lost their savings. The ultimate cost of the crisis to American taxpayers reached more than $120 billion.
Senator McCain was implicated in the Keating 5 who took $1.3 million in campaign contributions from Charles Keating. The five senators then used their influence to get regulators to back off their investigations of Lincoln Savings and Loan, owned by Keating. John McCain and the others waere severely reprimanded by the bipartisan Senate Ethics Committee and three among them did not run for re-election after serving out their terms.
As the election date nears, the campaigns are getting more bold and the candidates are attacking each other. In a recent campaign rally, Palin aimed at Obama saying he “pals around with terrorists”, refering to Bill Ayers.
Obama has denounced the radical views and actions of Bill Ayers, a founder of the violent Weather Underground group during the Vietnam era. On Sunday, Obama dismissed the criticism from the McCain campaign as “smears” meant to distract voters from real problems such as the troubled economy.

Informing the public about simple verifiable FACTS that are matters of public record that involved the actions of McCain himself at the age of 58.....doesnt even compare. The Ethics Committee ruled that the involvement of McCain in the scheme was also minimal, and he too was cleared of all charges against him.

The report also said that McCain's "actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him....Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate."

Ayres has recently said that he didn't bomb enough - he is an unrepentant terrorist. "Guilty as hell and free as a bird." Obama didn't have merely a casual relationship with Ayres... Obama's political career was launched at Ayres home at an event sponsored by another Obama felon associate Tony Rezko.

Ayres and Obama served on at least one board together and attempts to review records of their involvement with the Annenberg Foundation have been blocked and the press was refuzed permission to view them. Google Obama and Annenberg for more... the MSM doesn't seem to mind Obama's very questionable associations.
