Shocking Video Unearthed Dems fighting, covering up Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac crisis

Shocking Video Unearthed Democrats in their own words Covering up the Fanni
You need to upgrade your Flash Player

All C-SPAN...the record speaks for itself. YouTube FTW...good antidote for MSM hocus pocus. The question must be put forth: Why is Obama attributing the current economic condition to Republican policymakers? The assertion almost comes across as a flat out lie or maybe he just doesn't get it.

First Wright (spew hatred), then Ayers (an unrepentant terrorist that Obama partnered with), and now Fannie Mae - Raines was reported to have been an Obama economic advisor at one point. Obama is second for receiving Fanne Mae contributions in only 4 years.

Can this man be held accountable for anything??? He seems to be leaving a very ugly, blazing trail of people behind that he disses when it's convienent for him. This is definitely not the kind of person I would support as the next US President not to say anything of his wreckless foreign policy views, tax and spend economic pipedreams, and unrealistic healthcare proposals that could cripple rather than help.

Senator John McCain’s campaign manager was paid more than $30,000 a month for five years as president of an advocacy group set up by the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to defend them against stricter regulations, current and former officials say.

what does that have to do with the fact that the Dems defended fannie's policies that took their debt to asset ratio to 65:1 (that's the kindest ratio I've heard - some go as high as 80:1). Most responsible banks as I understand it carry 8:1 max. The dems prevented reform that would have required the debt to asset ratio to be much lower at fannie and freddie.

McCain tried to introduce legislation to prevent what Fannie and Freddie did.

Plenty of blame to go around.

From FactCheck.org

McCain has in fact been in favor of financial deregulation, but President Bill Clinton signed, and a lot of other Democrats supported, much of that same deregulation. And while Democrats really did fight McCain-cosponsored regulations of the FMs, McCain himself signed on to the bill just two months before the housing bubble popped.

In fact, there’s plenty of blame to go around. Experts have blamed everyone from home buyers to mortgage lenders to Alan Greenspan to both the Bush and Clinton administrations.

Furthermore, McCain misspoke when he said Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac "made all these risky loans, gave them to people that could never afford to pay back." Actually those organizations did not make "home loans directly with consumers." Rather, they "work[ed] with mortgage bankers, brokers, and other primary mortgage market partners" and supplied them with the funds to lend to home buyers at affordable rates, as described on their Web sites.

Then do us all a favor and write a letter to Obama's campaign to let them know how you feel - that it's not all Bush's fault. That cuts to the heart of Obama's campaign theme - you cannot deny that.

And you cannot deny from the video that the Democrats were responsible for adamantly defending the corruption and disease that has caused the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression.

You have no clue how out of touch Obama is. It's evident in his responses to foreign cultures and politics, to domestic economic policy issues, and the middle class.

Beware of the blind opportunist who calls for change in course while telling you to keep looking back. It's a recipe for your destruction.

Oh you mean like when he claimed that Iraq's streets are safer than some neighborhoods in america?

Or when he claimed that the years of the Bush administration were good for the economy?

Or when he claimed that this recession and economic turmoil is purely "psychological" ?

Or when he said the answer to the economic plight is for americans to just work harder and get a second job?

Or when he said that he has all the answes and could solve all of these ills we are facing 'easily'?

yeah that dude is really out of touch...

oh, wait OOPS! Mccain said all that.

whos out of touch now?

what I know is raising income taxes, social security tax limits, nearly doubling the capital gains tax in a recession leads to stagflation.... we know that. If you want that then support Obama's financial policy.

The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should,”
-John McCain

I didn’t pay nearly the attention to those issues in the past. I was probably a ’supply-sider’ based on the fact that I really didn’t jump into the issue.”
-John McCain

Carly Fiorina, a top McCain adviser, acknowledged that McCain has said he knows little about the economy, noting that “he did say it one time, no question, maybe twice.”

i'll have the lesser of two evils please. ill take stagflation (already happening) over a big fucking economic question mark the repugnicans have over their heads.
