stock markets historically have been in the tank around the time of presidential elections, and this year the economy is already in the shitter. Hear about several of the biggest banks in the U.S. going bankrupt?? Stock markets also dive when wars are going on, did you notice iraq and afghanistan for the last few years. The stock market need stability to flourish and these aren't stable times.

Detroit automakers are in the toilet because they can't produce fuel efficient reliable vehicles all while Toyota & Honda are posting record profits in these hard economic times.

The Japanese & Germans have been ahead of the curve for decades now. American automakers produced too many gas guzzling SUV's & trucks expecting to sell them. All of a sudden Gas prices go up & they go broke. End of story.
