Obamas VP pick kinda dashed any hope I had a long time ago. Biden is harsher on drugs than most of the extreme Republicans. He has always voted to increase penalties for drug laws. He even said that medical marijuana was just an excuse for "drug addicts to score a fix."

Anyone that thought that Obama was going to push for legalization during his term can forget about it. Its not going to happen in the next 8 - 16 years and possibly not within our lifetime.

I have a feeling he will steer far away from remforming drug laws as much as possible. It could affect him politically.

I'm guessing the same applies to giving support to African nations, I doubt he will do anymore than Bush has.

Maybe in his second term, he'll make gestures in those areas, but I doubt it.

Growing up in a small town i was fortunate enough to know some of the people working for the city. One of the guys had worked there for 18 years and he got fired because he got caught fucking chickens on a farmers property.
