SAN FRANCISCO – Some same-sex marriage supporters are urging people to "call in gay" Wednesday to show how much the country relies on gays and lesbians, but others question whether it's wise to encourage skipping work given the nation's economic distress. I could only imagine what my manager would say if I called in gay to work. I work for a pretty gay friendly company, so the point is somewhat moot IMO.

When they did that "prop 8" vote thingie here in Dallas, I was talking to a good bud at the time. He, his gf and I were all talking about it and they were saying how wrong they thought it was... Then the vote came up, I voted and they did not. Then, 2 weeks later, they got engaged... I told them "I'll be damned if you see me at your wedding."

If I called in gay to work I'd probably be fired. I don't think being homosexual is a valid reason to stay home from work.
