He's Lutheran from what I understand. Lutherans are okay in my book. Very refined and sophisticated view of Christianity, and they keep to themselves and tend to be respectful of other people's worldviews. If I were ever to practice Christianity I bet I'd find myself attending a Lutheran church sooner than later. I mean, if I didn't just embrace full on Gnosticism, which I believe is Christianity at its purest state.
