![]() | Obama's Speach to the Muslim world...
Thought I'd start a thread on it. Who else watched the entire thing this morning? I'll post the videos once they're on the interweb later this morning.

Well (the gist of it) he covered several topics from, muslim angst against America and vice versa, female education in Muslim culture, Israel and Palestine's places is the Middle East, Iran, nuclear weapons, etc. IMO - Some of it was pandering to the Middle East and Muslim Culture, and some of it seemed to stand strong. For a guy who couldn't try hard enough to hide his Muslim roots durring the campaign, he sure seemed proud of it today. Give me a few to find all of the videos that complete the speech and you judge and comment.

Well here is what I found on YouTube. It was posted by a guy that calls himself "TheRaceCard" so I hope he didn't comment over the speech. (I don't have speakers at work). This isn't all of it either. Just the first part. Not all of it seems to be up on the interwebs just yet. EDIT: I guess TheRaceCard aint got his 'ish together this morning. He just posted Part Zero.

oh this is funny, only made it through part one, but I like how the only sort of reaction the crowd gives is when he's talking about Israeli concessions. Talk about violence as a means of change, no reaction. Talk about Israel ceasing the expansion of settlements, and the crowd goes wild.

There were a few statements that bothered me throughout. One off the top of my head... I thought it was good how he mentioned women's education. However he didn't really talk about their treatment and abuse. He even said he respects their RIGHT to wear niqabs. As if covering them up has nothing to do with discrimination. And thats just one of the small things they do to their women. I'd lay down a few more but I'm at work. Maybe tonight I'll log on and give it some honest thought and post the rest. Overall it sounded like a good speech but there WERE a few things I think he did wrong that might hurt us in the future. Mainly with some of his statements on Israel.
