How much do you really think got spent between 19Jan01 and 11SEP01? Oh, maybe you forgot about the economic impact that 9/11 had on the world economy... (which includes us)

No, Tax Cuts stimulate the economy AND... I suppose you stopped reading the Iraq invasion discussion we were having on another thread (a few weeks ago). I think I spelled it out pretty clearly with all of the "actual" facts surrounding the invasion of Iraq..

No, actually Bush is responsible for quite a bit, but to try to say that the current economic crisis was years in the making... and then try to say that those years were simply the past 8 is very narrow-minded. As I said, your normal punching boy W is only partly responsible for this mess. The Republicans (congress mostly, not the president) during the past 8 years only made a bad thing worse.

Being a mortgage broker for 6 years before 06, I can tell you that things were already headed to hell in a handbasket a looong time before that. I won't bother with the details and dates, because the truth might just blow your mind and a lot of you seem like the kind of people who are not going to be able to handle "the truth".

It's a pretty sad state of affairs all around and throwing trillions and trillions at it is not going to fix it.

i didn't stop reading it. i never started. the iraq invasion has been dissected completely and i've done enough reading on it. not sure which "facts" you're referring to but none of that has anything to do with the Bush tax cuts.

as far as it being unnecessary... it was absolutely unnecessary. not only was it unnecessary but it was completely fucked up from the beginning.
