well, you have to admit that english will not be the dominant language by at least the 22nd century. i would say by 2050. but you'll be dead by then, thank god. and i forgot to say im sorry that only you're opinions count. they sure as hell aint facts.

The fact remains that the language of common currency is english and we don't have to learn other languages but people like the Dutch, Finns, Swedes etc have much more reason to learn ours.

And that really doesn't have anything to do with the discussion, which is about the quality of their educational system. They are more effective educators because - as an example - they manage to teach their children to be multi-lingual when our educational system is sorely lacking.

back to my main point... give me our top teir vs their top teir. We win.

Meaning.... you don't judge the INDY500 winner based on the averaged showingf of the teams.. you base it on who wins. The US has the best of fucking everything that matters even if we don't have the best average score in any particular catagory. W,SDGF SD;W F ;p

Are you familiar with the peer review process? Data from a peer reviewed journal is much more likely to be accurate than data from any other source, including the U.S. government.

i would like to add that if our country was the same size and every country surrounding us spoke different languages... we'd be speaking at least 10. geography plays a huge role. much larger than their educational system.

I didn't assert any facts other than the obvious... english is the language of common currency. You asserted that it was going to end in 20 years. I challenged that assertion.

So, were you going to answer the question or just keepo talking crap?

Why won't english be the dominant language it is today and what will replace it? And why is the switch 50 years out now instead of 20? Let me guess. You're talking right out of your ass again.

But it does address the point directly. We don't teach our children 7 languages because we don't need to not because our system sucks.
