![]() | Awareness protest, downtown Dallas #iranelection
For those who know our Iranian / Persian friends in the Dallas EDM scene, and those who want to raise awareness to support the freedom of opinion and free speech of a new generation around the world: DFW Area Rally at Dallas City Hall - TUESDAY June 23, from 1PM-3PM. http://iran.whyweprotest.net/usa-cen...protest-3.html Come join us to raise community awareness of the harmful results from the stifling of expression and opinion. If you are an artist, dancer, musician, or just like to talk a lot, show your creative energy and support your community. Wear green and be there to show you care. Photographers and videographers are welcome as photos and video will be posted around the world. The few who try to silence the many cannot last. Protection of expression is essential to a healthy worldwide community. Warrant less wiretapping, suppression of information through misuse and abuse of technology, imprisonment of those who have not been charged, and similar tactics are unacceptable. Free to dance. Free to sing. Free to speak. Let your voice be heard. http://www.standwithiran.com/gallery.html Kindest, Benji Last edited by benjisworld; 06-21-09 at 05:19 AM. |

Call me crazy but if raising awareness is the goal I'm not thinking wardrobe selection, singing and dancing is going to be very effective. Most people are aware something's going on and a bunch of goofballs in DT Dallas isn't going to heighten that awareness. But, best wishes, good luck, have fun, drink lots of water and if the cops mess with you just start yelling at them, "do you know who the fuck I am!!!" | |

lol - I just don't see a bunch of hippies dancing around on the public square as an event to raise awareness as much as it is an event to get stoned and listen to music they feel will thumb its nose at "the man." But like I said, more power to them - I hope they have a good time.

I should have put quotes on the last part. This isn't a dancing event or a party. It's a rally to raise awareness for the promotion of freedom of speech and expression. Dance is certainly a form of expression, which is why I posted here, but this is a peaceful rally, not a party or dance event. The information past the link had a little more specific information but the essentials are: wear green and come out tomorrow at Dallas City Hall to promote freedom of speech. Those who block internet access, text messages, and non-government controlled satellite television are seriously impeding citizens ability to speak and be heard. Hope that's a little more clear. This is a serious issue and I don't take it lightly, which is why I took the time to post. Be good to each other and be heard, Benji |

Couldnt of said it better myself. They would just be trading one dictator for another... besides... the President of Iran isn't where the buck stops anyhow. People are blind and stupid... you want change... get rid of government and money as a whole. Then there will be no need for the governing of people.

![]() | Re: Awareness protest, downtown Dallas #iranelection I'm sure the Iranians will take great solace from your dancing Lol.. there's a really good current example of what happens when a state eliminates government... its called Somalia. Don't be so silly as to think eliminating gov't creates utopia.. it creates a life nasty butish and short. |
