given the choice between the absurd GOP spending and resulting debt vs what Obama did in his first six months I'm taking the GOP irresponsibility everyday and twice on Sunday... you would too if your preference is less debt rather than more.

Simple question. How are people elected to office? And when i ask this, I dont mean the "process" that our laws outline, but by which George Bush was elected into office, over our day to day "Sally Jo" that lives next door. The answer to this is universal, wether your democrat, republican, independent, or a communist. There for, there is no seperation between partys. THEY ARE ALL WORKING UNDER THE NAME OF 'DEBT'... IN DEBT TO THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO PUTTING THOSE PEOPLE INTO OFFICE.

Its just a big game of back-scratching... in the name of maximizing wealth and profit, and the same contributor that backed George W, is the same contributor that backed Obama. There are no lines of loyalty. The only party is the "monetary" party.

In any event you're describing a universal voter standard... one guided entirely by self-interest. Would you vote against your interests? Would you donatge to the candidate who stands for issues contrary to your intertests? That notion is fair and reasonably accurate. But that's no argument assisting your claim that the parties are identical.

Could somebody translate a bit of this for me? I caught the parts about the FBI & the supposed espionage, but I'm a little unclear as to what this automated trading piece is that GS supposedly dominates. It looks like they're saying the guy snagged a bunch of code he wrote for GS as it relates to automated trading that's based on what it recognizes as trends, but I guess I don't understand why it matters beyond the obvious part about proprietary code (potentially) being sold to others in the industry.

These are two separate stories.

The DPTR is just a list of weekly totals... Of which you can raise questions of program gunning/manipulation.

The stolen code (through GSs own admission) is a very advanced algo that can be used to front run the market. Its the fact that GS aka 'Government Sachs' even went so far as to actually say 'In the wrong hands this code could be used to manipulate the markets' that has so many people riled up about it. They are essentially saying they have the ability to front run the market at any given time. Looking at charting/trade times/trade firms/etc you can see it plain as day.

Wrong hands my ass lol.

Say what you want about a guy like Glenn Beck but his past few shows have been heavily focused on Goldman. As sensationalist as he can be, he really isnt that far off with the facts in this case.

The bigger picture is that stories like this are starting to hit the mainstream media for the average person.

Although I dont expect to hear much from any of the NBC affiliates
